Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus is a surprisingly poignant story so far. The things the main character had to endure are horrifying and unfortunately, more than likely, were taking place in the 1960’s. Even as I write this I’m shaking my head about the injustices.

A Forgery of Roses by Jessica Olson combined my two favorite genres: mystery/thriller and fantasy with a magic system. I enjoyed everything about this story and hated for it to end. I don’t think it really read like YA but it is still fine for that age group.

The Younger Wife by Sally Hepworth looks very good and the early reviews have been largely positive. I’m looking forward to starting this book in a few days.
