My week was spent Resting – Ice-ing – Compressing (boot shown last week) – Elevating my poor swollen and bruised ankle. It got to the point where I was tired of staying still.

The bruising is better but there is still swelling and pain. It definitely has a ways to go to get to a full recovery. Hopefully, I will graduate to a splint this coming Friday and then start physical therapy for the remainder of the healing process.

We ended the week with a trip downtown to see the 25th anniversary revamped Riverdance – an Irish dancing show. I was very nervous about figuring out how to get around in my boot and crutches and it really wasn’t easy. But people were very kind.

So, that was my week – how was yours?

NetGalley Book Haul

There’s a lot of books in my book haul. It is two weeks worth which included my monthly Berkley newsletter with lots of widgets. I posted about the physical books Berkley sent me this month on Thursday. I have linked each cover to its NetGalley page.

Paramount+ released the last season of Picard this week. It’s been great seeing so many Star Trek Next Generation stars from years ago.

I added Last Orphan from your list last week I think….I’ve read a couple others you mention, but not most of them. My TBR is sure growing again. Have a terrific week and hope you find time to put your feet up and enjoy a good book!

Me too. Having a torn ligament gets very old very fast.

I’m glad that you still managed to enjoy your Riverdance visit.
I also have an arc of Hammer of Fate so fingers crossed that it’s a good story.

      That’s what I keep hoping. I’m a horrible patient. 😂

Oh no you poor thing. Hope you mend well and recover soon x

Thank you! I’m at the frustrated phase which makes me a very bad patient sometimes. Hopefully I will graduate to a splint when I go to the doc on Friday.

I’m glad that you managed to get out to see Riverdance. I’m in two minds about whether to watch Picard or not as the last series was so disappointing. Hope you enjoy your books.

Even my husband said that it’s better than he expected. I’ve liked it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I also can’t imagine staying in bed for long time. Looks like you had good time at Riverdance. I hope you fully recover soon with physical therapy.

Me too! I’m ready to be back to normal 💕

It must be Irish dancing week, Tessa, as my husband and I just attended a performance around here. I’m glad you were able to get around well on your crutches and hope the healing continues with great speed. Nice book haul!

The river dance show looks amazing! I”m glad you were able to attend. I hope you feel better soon, it must be so difficult for you. What a great book haul! I have a couple of them as well. I hope you have a great week, Tessa.

I’ve definitely gotten to that frustrated part where I’m just ready to be done with convalescing.

I didn’t realise that Riverdance was still going, let alone 25 years old!

    1. Lady Tessa Avatar

They took a break for a number of years, so it was great seeing it again. They also showed clips from the original show, which was very cool.

I had to go back and read your post from last week, as that was when I was without my computer. I am so sorry to hear about your injury Tessa and hope your healing is quick and uneventful. I’ve always wanted to see Riverdance, I hope it was wonderful. Wow, you had quite a haul this week, Tessa. I also have a few of these, but others might yet show up on my shelves. Have a wonderful week.

I couldn’t believe I tore my ligament. I tried to walk it off and when that was an epic failure that was my first clue it was more than a simple sprain. It’s getting better slowly though. Hopefully I will graduate to a splint when I see the doc on Friday.

I know it was difficult maneuvering, but I’m glad you were able to get out of the house for a while, Tessa. And what a book haul! I think you mentioned it a few weeks ago, but I just started watching Wolf Pack on Paramount Plus last night.

    1. Lady Tessa Avatar

      Ooo…we’re still watching it too.

Physical therapy is hard work but worth it! I did it for my shoulder, and wish I had done it when I broke my foot. Good luck!
