Rating System

I rate using Goodreads’ rating system to keep my reviews consistent wherever it’s posted.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = I loved this book

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ = I liked this book very much

⭐️⭐️⭐️ = This book was good / a fine read for me. I liked it okay.

I don’t post the rating when I give a book ⭐️ or ⭐️⭐️. It typically means that there were technical issues with the book. Over-writing and forced dialogue are two of my biggest pet peeves, and I often find them in self-published books.

Note to indie authors: Editing by a good professional editor (not yourself or people close to you) with fiction experience can usually help author’s get rid of these technical problems and do all sorts of wonder for your story.
