I will be reviewing the following books in August and posting on the indicated date.
August 6, 2019 (In stores, Aug. 1, 2019)
Ever Alice by H.J. Ramsey
YA Fantasy
A haunting book with lots of discussion potential. I can see it working well for a book club or just chatting among friends.
August 13, 2019
Catacombs by Mary Anna Evans
Mystery
The setting of the book is a little known area of Oklahoma called the Underground Chinatown – very intriguing.
August 20, 2019
The Last Widow by Karin Slaughter
Mystery/Thriller
Will pull you in from the first page.
August 27, 2019
Crown of Coral and Pearl by Mara Rutherford

Other books (ARCs) I will be reading in August but have a later release date:

Oooh, great selections, Tessa. I checked out the Goodreads links and the one that intrigues me most is Catacombs. That may end up on my TBR!
I’ve been very lucky with my ARC picks. I keep waiting to run into that one where I either have to decline to review or write a not so stellar review but so far I have been really impressed with all the novels.
That’s great you’ve had good luck. I had a DNF this month. Not an ARC, but a book that’s been on my Kindle for a while. I’m going to give it a another try in a few weeks or a few months, thinking maybe I just wasn’t in the mood, but I was hugely disappointed. Couldn’t get past the first few chapters. I hate when that happens!
