The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Ooh, so difficult to choose a favourite author – I have so many. But, because I’m lazy here are a couple of quotes that immediately spring to mind:
‘There was a hand in the darkness and it held a knife’ – Neil Gaiman’s Graveyard Book
‘It is a truth, universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife’ – Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice.
Lynn 😀
I really need to read Neil Gaman. And Jane Austen – I have always loved her writing style ❤️ Great choices!
Michael Ondaatje is still my favorite author. If only he’d write more…
The English Patient is on my TBR! I will have to try and read it soon ❤️
Still my favorite of his, but warning: it isn’t for everyone because it is SO poetic. If that’s not your style, The Cat’s Table and Anil’s Ghost are more literary and less poetic.
Thank you so much for the recommendation!
I read this book for the first when I was in 6th grade. Needless to say, I didn’t really understand it much. 🙂 I read it again in my late teens and loved it. Great quote!
I read it in college and it has always stayed close to my heart. 6th grade? Yea – I can’t imagine a 6th grader understanding it. Yikes! Have a wonderful weekend ❤️
Great quote! Becky Chambers is definitely my favourite author. Her books are always so full of hope.
Thank you! Becky Chambers has some great quotes too ❤️
Great quote! It is so difficult to choose one author. There are so many. 🙂
Very true ❤️
Oh, beautiful! I really struggled with this prompt – picking a favourite author is like picking a favourite child! 😀
It truly is. That’s why I go back to the classics – still there a handful of writers from that time period who are my favorite too. ❤️
That is a beautiful quote. I haven’t read The Awakening or anything by Kate Chopin. This makes me want to. I hope you have a good week.
The Awakening is a beautiful and poignant novella about how restrictive the Victorian age was to women and the impact on the main character’s psyche. Definitely worth reading! ❤️
My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find nearly all of your post’s to be exactly what I’m looking for. Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs? I wouldn’t mind publishing a post or elaborating on most of the subjects you write in relation to here. Again, awesome website!
