This is the series I’ve been reviewing which has a female Jason Bourne lead character. I’m starting it today and, since I loved the other two books in the series, I am expecting to enjoy this one very much!

Woah! This book is totally whack-o-doodle and I mean that in a good way. It’s one of those books that takes a few plot elements you’ve seen before and reimagines it in a whole new mind-blowing way that you couldn’t have imagined in your wildest dreams. It’s not Amityville Horror scary which is what I was worried about. It’s much like a Dean Koontz story and the scary level I would say is on par with the tv show, Supernatural – definitely a lot of creepy and chills but nothing that made me sorry I picked it up.

I was interested in the Wendig book before, but you mentioned Supernatural in your review of Kill a Spy, and now I’m laser-focused on that.
You would love the House of Killers trilogy – I’m totally convinced of that. It’s so good and yes, The Book of Accidents is a wonderful crazy ride!

That’s another one I have my eye on. It looks interesting.
I don’t think you would have a problem. I kind of had that in mind while I was reading but he adds in SciFy, paranormal, and even folklore to make a story that is so fascinating that you just sit in wonder which dissipates any intensity and it is much less graphic than say Hairpin Bridge 😉
If the Shoe Fits sounds like something I should read to mix up my usual fantasy/sci-fi or self-development. I’m currently reading Beasts Made of Night by Tochi Onyebuchi and 12 Rules for Life by Jordan Peterson.

The Book of Accidents sounds great, Tessa, but the length scares me. I used to love long books, but don’t seem to have the time now, so I get wary. I’m about halfway through A Dream of Family by Jill Weatherholt. It’s a very sweet book (no flashes of Dean Koontz at all). 🙂
