The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. What is the average number of books you read per month?

I read between 12 and 16 books per month, so I guess the average would be 14. Right now, I need to read a book every two days (so, half of a book per day) in order to meet the publication dates of all my ARCs. It’ll be that way through April.
I’ve never been able to read a novel in one day except for that rare book that I start early and can’t put down, but that is very rare.

Definitely not that many! I wish I could finish a book in two days, but my kids prefer I play with them and feed them. Though if I count all the picture books I read over and over, it’s too many to count.
Kids, no matter the age, have a way of making us willingly divide our time, don’t they?
I am about the same as you 2 a week, apart from school holidays when I can usually fit a few more in 😊

I’m about the same as you. I find life often gets in the way so it’s rare that I finish a book in one sitting.

As a mood reader, this really depends on my mood and also what type and genre of books I’m reading (i.e. graphic novels, novellas, romances, etc.)! It’s usually between 15-21 books and sometimes it can be more than 21, but I think rarely less than 15 🙂

It’s tougher when your kids are little! Even though my girls are young adults now, when they are home, I still don’t get as much read.
Yes and I’m mentally prepared it’s going to be like that when my kid is grown up.
This has been an unusual month that allowed me more reading time, so by the end of the month I’ll probably have 12 or 13. Like you, I’ve got a lot to read in a short amount of time to make deadlines in March. Have a great weekend, Tessa!
I’m still working on Feb deadlines – mostly Feb 1st. I have 8 books being published on that day. March 1st is close behind with like 6 or 7. 😮
I read/listen to between 12 – 14 books/month. It’s also rare for me to finish a book in a day but I’ve done a few times, mostly on audio and to meet a deadline. There are a couple of instances where I just couldn’t put the book down!

When a book captivates me (and I have the time), I can read even a lengthy novel in one day. I’ve soared through books of over 800 words in that time. But I seldom have a block of time that long that I can devote to a book. Now, I’m happy if I can get to a chapter or two a day. There are many days when I don’t have a chance to read at all. By the time I’m done working for the night, words are blurry on the page or screen.

I can imagine. I know when I was counseling, I worked from sun up til bedtime, so reading just wasn’t happening except for the few education or counseling books I skimmed.
Page count of the book makes such a difference as well – I can read a novella in a day but some fantasy books will take me a week because of their length.
Novellas are nice because they are so quick, aren’t they?
I always feel guilty counting them towards the total though. It feels as though I’m cheating somehow.
I tend to average 4 books a week, more in the colder months though.
Anymore I read between 6-10 full length books (300+ pgs).

Well, if you read my What Are You Reading Monday posts, you know I read a lot, and I mean a lot. I retired 11 years ago and started reading more, than when I was working. I probably read about 12 books a month. When my husband passed away 5 years ago, I found reading was more enjoyable than watching television and probably upped my reading to 20 or so a month. Then I discovered audiobooks and began to listen while doing dishes, baking, gardening, laundry etc. I now probably read/listen to about 40 books a month. Saying that, I live alone, am retired and can read and/or listen pretty much all day, every day. 😁📚💖
I think reading and blogging is a great way to spend your time after you retire. I know it’s been great during my “sabbatical”. Even when I took the part time job I’m doing now, my stipulation was that I needed time to keep up the pace I established with my blog and everything that goes with it. ❤️❤️❤️
You read a lot of books! I read about the same amount, but I’m retired, and can read all day long if I want to.

I think I averaged around 30 books a month last year, but that was only because I signed up for book tours and had to meet deadlines.
You have to read two a day through April?! Wow, Tessa. That’s a lot of reading. It’s also is good reminder to me why I don’t read with deadlines (I’d miss them). My average is about 8 per month. You’re a reading machine, but what fun. Enjoy.
Two a day makes my head hurt. 1 every two days is fortunately what I’m doing. That I can handle. ❤️
