Violet Made of Thorns by Gina Chen not only has an incredibly gorgeous cover – I almost made it bigger than the others because it’s so beautiful – but the early reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. As usual, I’ll either start this today or did last night.

I really enjoyed The New Neighbor by Karen Cleveland. That twist at the end totally took me by surprise and a book that can truly shock me gets extra praise! My review will be coming out tomorrow, but this one is a good one ❤️

Point Last Seen by Christina Dodd is a blog tour book for me. It sounds like a wonderful mystery thriller. I’ve also seen it listed as Romantic Suspense, so I’m curious which way I will find it leaning towards.

I need to pick up my book again. Hubby is watching the women in the quarter final, I might just take my book up to read, lots of bubbles in a cool bath and relaxing is the best way to read a book.

I think you’d like the Karen Cleveland book. I just found out she used to work for the CIA and lives in NC (I think in or near Charlotte by some of her posts), so the CIA components are more than likely as genuine as they sound.

The author wrote a little note to the reader in the beginning that makes it even more intriguing. I love a flawed main character!

Violet Made of Thorns is on my radar, it looks like a really good story.
So far it is! It took me a minute to get used to the written voice of the main character and narrator but once I did, I started loving it.

The New Neighbor was very good. And Point Less Seen was a bit of a mixed bag for me. I liked it but I did have a few problems with it.
