Today’s Top Ten Tuesday is my Top Ten Bookish Goals for 2024. I usually just have bookish goals rattling around in my head. Only the ones I enter in Goodreads and StoryGraph are written down. This post forced me to pluck those goals out of the nether I call a brain and anchor them into possibly happening. So the following are a combination of what I put into the tracking apps and those that have been floating around in my brain.

For those that can’t see images:
- 10. Read 150 books
- 9. Read 50,000 pages
- 8. Take no more than 12 NetGalley books per publication month
- 7. Stay one month ahead of publication dates
- 6. Read physical books sent to me by publishers
- 5. If I buy a book, make time to read it within a month.
- 4. Read 6 of my FairyLoot books from this year
- 3. Clean up my book cart and keep it organized
- 2. Clean up my bookshelves
- 1. Get approval for and start a Little Free Library
What’s one of your bookish goals for 2024?

I have no idea what they are, because screenreaders skip over images 🙂

I didn’t realize – I wrote them out as text after the pictures now.
Terrific goals, Tessa! Good luck 💜
Let’s see how many of them I achieve 😊
Fab list! Love the thought of a Little Free Library hope you get approval for one! 😀
Me too! I’m in the perfect spot for one.
I’m also behind on my Fairyloot books 😅 Good luck with your goals!
The only ones I get to read are the ones I get as ARCs🤦🏻♀️
Great list, Tessa. I love that you want to start a Little Free Library. I am on the second busiest street in my town, so don’t think anyone would be able to stop, or I would love to do that. I think I will start culling my shelves and find one in the area to drop those books off. Good Luck with all your goals.
I’m in the perfect spot. There’s so much foot traffic.
I love the idea of starting your own free library. I hope you can make it work. I always try to stay a month ahead with my Net Galley ARCs. It doesn’t always work but it has got better lately.
I got ahead in January and I really want to keep it there!
Love the idea of a free little library! There’s one in our neighborhood (I’ve added my books) and one at our church. Hope you get approval, Tessa.
We don’t have one in our neighborhood but there’s a lot of foot traffic so I think it’s perfect. Will the HoA agree? Who knows 🤷🏻♀️
Your book goals are in the stratosphere (at least for me!) but the Little Free Library? I wanna do that💜💜💜💜
Great goals, Tessa!
I’m in the perfect spot for one. Lots of foot traffic and parents stopping and waiting for their kids from the charter high school across the street .
How cool and fun to start a Little Free Library! I’m looking forward to posts about that! Here’s my TTT: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2024/01/16/top-ten-tuesday-bookish-goals-for-2024/
It would be very cool!
Omg, starting a LFL would be awesome! 😍 I also want to reshuffle and clear out my shelves a bit by reading more of the titles that have been on there for ages. I hope you enjoy achieving all these goals. Happy reading!
I think so too! I’m in the perfect spot for one.
I’d like to stay a month ahead of my arcs. I need to get on it lol. I have just been so busy!
I managed to get back to that place in December and I really want to stay there.
I really wish I could start a little free library, but my HOA prohibits them!! It’s specifically mentioned in the rules!! How awful is that?
I’ve got to review our rules again. I didn’t notice it when I looked before. We own a big portion of land since we are in a townhouse that’s on an end, and I’m hoping I can put it there. I know I can’t plant things but I have to review the rules then get approval.
HOA’s are the worst until…nope, pretty much the worst.
Aww, I love the goal of starting a Little Free Library! <3
I’m in the perfect spot for it.
These are fabulous! And I’d love to start a free little library.
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
I’m in just the right spot for one.
12 Netgalley a month? I probably do that in 6 months!!!!
Last year I had 16-20 and it was way too much. 12 is more than manageable for me.
These are great goals! I really wanted to do a Free little library last year but I commented on your HOA one and that’s probably not going to happen. haha! I am currently reading a book that I pre-ordered and it arrived last week! I am shocked but this is progress!! haha. Good luck with all of these, Tessa! <3
We are at the end and have a really big side yard. They have no problem if we plant on it so I’m hoping that a Free Little Library will fall along those lines. I need to review the rules again.
Good luck!! It will be so awesome for your little community!! <3
I love how organized you are with your reading goals, Tessa. I’m also really excited about the little library. I hope you’re able to get that going. How exciting!
Me too!
Those are very admirable goals. I should probably adopt some, if not all. Good luck! I have faith that you can do it.
Thank you! 🥰
Brilliant reading goals, 2024 is going to be a well read year.
Definitely!
Those are awesome goals. I hope you can achieve them. I can’t never read purchased books within month.
Good luck! I love my neighborhood’s Little Free Library. I stop by it several times a week and keep it well-stocked.
Great goals, Tessa. I especially liked your little free library. Let us all know how that goes! I’d love to do one here. 🙂 Best of luck in 2024!
Yay for the Little Free Library! I finally got mine up a few months ago and it’s been SO fun. It’s been popular in my community, which makes me super happy. Good luck with all your goals!
Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

I really want to start a Little Free Library too. I hope you meet all of your goals this year, Tessa! 🙂
I started a sort of little free library but I call it the “Little Wellness Library” at my work. I’m the building wellness coordinator. It’s on a cart and I put books, healthy cookbooks, adult coloring books and colored pencils, true lemon, herbal tea bags, rope-less jump ropes, exercise bands and things like that on and in it. My goal this year is to find new items/ideas for it.
