Can you believe it’s February already? I read 15 books totaling 5000 pages in January, and 5 of those were so good I’m trying to decide between them about which I liked best. So, January (February publication books) was a very good reading month. How was your bookish January?

We had the two companies that are supposed to repair the outside of our two bay windows come to the house this week, and a demand letter is on its way to the scamming dentist. No repairs were done yet, but at least they know what they need to do and will hopefully be back soon. So February is starting much better than January did. It’s my birthday month, so it has to be better, right?
So, that was my week – how was yours?

I got the new batch of Berkley widgets this week, plus a few others, and a bunch of book mail, though the book mail is 2 week’s worth. Lots of good reading potential!

We tried the first episode of the new Prime series Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and we really didn’t like it. I almost fell asleep more than once – it was just so boring that even an exploding house didn’t make it more interesting to me.

Good news about the windows. I hope that they get sorted soon. That’s a great reading month for January and your latest books look good too
Love those stats. I also want to get that atlas complex and previous books in that series. I hope your birthday month turns out amazing.
It looks like you’ve had a great start to the reading month and it seems that February is also looking up 🙂 A Song to Drown Rivers looks gorgeous! I hadn’t heard of that one before but I’ll have to see what it’s about. I hope you have a great week ahead, Tessa!
Great reading month, Tessa! I hope you get your window issues sorted soon. Have a fantastic week.
Me too!
Happy birthday month! I hope your February reading is successful. 🙂
Thank you!
I’m looking forward to that Kristan Higgins book (holding out for the audio). And of course Listen for the Lie.
Hope that dentist is shaking in his oxfords. Get him😏 Good luck with the bay window and have a great week, Tessa💜
I’m hoping the bay window area gets completely fixed this week 🤞
15 books is amazing Tessa, have a great week!
I was surprised it was so many!
My daughter’s birthday is next week, and she is 33. I went to a book signing this weekend. A local author had her book published this week. The 13th Girl. I have read thirty pages so far, and it is brilliant.
Oh, I share a birthday month with your daughter. How fun!
lots of great books to pick from i always like book mail. I got my fairyloot adult book box for january this weekend and the book is so pretty. Have a great birthday month.
Oh, shoot! I get the Fairy Loot box too and I forgot to include it. It’s a beautiful edition of A Fragile Enchantment, isn’t it?
I get the adult box so it the city of stardusf
I get both but the YA one just came for me.
You rocked the start of reading year, Tessa. 15 books is almost 4 books a week!!! By contrast, I managed 6, but I always seem to do most of my reading in June through August, so fingers crossed.
Sorry to hear about M/Mrs Smith. I debated about giving it a try. Now I’m not so sure, LOL!
Give it a try! Maybe you’ll like it. It was just to deadpan for us. We at least wanted some witty banter and there wasn’t any – at least in the first episode.
Hi Tessa 👋 I can’t believe it is February already either! January flew by with three family birthdays, including mine! 🥳
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a great one, Jessica!
Thank you 😊
Wow! 15 books in January is awesome! I’m jealous. I only read 4. Oh well. Have a great week!

As long as they were four you enjoyed – that’s the important thing.
I’m glad your February is starting out better than January. Hopefully everything gets sorted out soon. The Kristan Higgins book looks good.
I hope so. I’m sure the bay window areas will get fixed soonish but I have no idea about the dentist. The letter the lawyer sent was scary. When I read it, I wanted to pay the 8k 😂
That’s a great reading month. Hope February is just as awesome, and happy birthday! Just celebrate it the whole month.
Yay for progress on the windows! I’m a big fan of the Mr. and Mrs. Smith movie, so I hate to hear the series isn’t promising. Have a great week, Tessa!
Yay, for birthday month!! I’m glad this month is already starting off better than last. I hope it continues to do so and it’s fabulous! 🙂
