We’ve gotten so much rain lately. I really would like just a little snow instead. But my bay windows have been completely repaired! Finally!!! They finished Wednesday, and it was a very happy occasion.

On a sadder note – my grandmother passed last weekend, and I learned (for myself anyway) that when a relative has lived a good, long life (97+ years in her case), my feelings are truly mixed. Her life definitely should be celebrated, and I know she is happy to be back with my grandfather and her sister, who was also her best friend but she was my last remaining grandparent.

My grandmother was a feisty woman who spoiled me rotten and always had all my favorite foods on hand whenever I came to stay with her. We watched movies together, ate bologna sandwiches with Pringles and Strawberry milk, and ran errands all around town. I felt honored to be her “favorite oldest granddaughter” (something she always called me).

So, that was my week – how was yours?

Five NetGalley widgets were emailed to me this week, and I took them all. It’s a little bit of everything genre-wise.

An action/adventure and a romcom – I enjoyed them both!

Both the newest Mission Impossible and an original, Upgraded, are on Prime right now, and I just had to watch! I’m so glad I did too because I liked both of them. Just like I enjoy these genres in books, I also enjoy them in movies. There’s nothing like consistency.

Sorry about your grandmother. It’s a great comfort though that she had a long, good life. I haven’t watched the latest Mission Impossible, but I tend to enjoy them as well. Good entertainment.

That’s such sad news about your grandmother but so good to have those memories. Great news about your windows too. We were supposed to have some snow on Thursday this week but it just rained all day. I think our part of England is just turning into one giant puddle.
Your NG widgets all look really interesting. Hope that you enjoy them.
