Top Ten Tuesday:  Top Ten Books on my August TBR

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

Top Ten Tuesday was supposed to be Books I Wish Had More/Less [Insert Your Concept Here] In Them. The top tens recently have been very hard, including this one. They just take some preplanning and record keeping, which I didn’t do. So, instead I’m doing an easier one – the top ten books on my August TBR (August starts Thursday – yikes!

The Top Ten Books on my August TBR:

  1. Humor Me by Cat Shook
  2. A Lethal Lady by Nekesa Afia
  3. It Had to be You by Eliza Jane Brazier
  4. Prime Time Romance by Kate Robb
  5. The Ravenous Fate by Hayley Dennings
  6. The Forgotten Italian Restaurant by Barbara Josselsohn
  7. Sync by Allen Hopkins
  8. You Will Never Be Me by Jesse Sutanto
  9. An Academy for Liars by Alexis Henderson
  10. The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook by Matt Dinniman

What’s a book on your August TBR?

Great list, Tessa! I’m interested in Prime time romance. Can’t wait to see what you think about it.

I’m excited about that one. It looks very good 😊

Fab list! I changed today’s prompt as well and as I didn’t have clue what to do. I’m hoping I get to read Breaking the Dark by Lisa Jewel in August, as I’m first in the library queue for it! 🤞

Hope you enjoy it! It seems like the people who didn’t were not pleasantly surprised by the superhero-ness of it all. If you don’t know anything about Jessica Jones – it helps to get just a bit of background on her marvel character.

        Thanks that’s good to know!

This might be the first time we don’t have any books in common. Happy Reading, Tessa!

Seems a lot of people went rogue for this topic. I think it’s one I’ll come back to in the future with better pre-planning cos I also didn’t do that 😂 All of these books look great and I hope you enjoy them all, Tessa! I can’t believe it’s already August this week—eeks!

Happy Reading, Tessa. The only one of these on my TBR (at this time) is The Forgotten Italian Restaurant by Barbara Josselsohn. I loved the first two in this trilogy and hope this one is just as good.

I can’t wait to read The Forgotten Italian Restaurant!

The covers of some of these! <3

Great TBR list! I’ve yet to make my August TBR 😛 I’m hoping to do so tomorrow … but I’m feeling so mood-read-y right now and its making making a plan difficult. (Wow that sentence shows how little caffeine I’ve had today, lol)

      Love a caffeinated sentence 😂

These books look great! So far, my top pick this month is The Apprentice to the Villain by Hanna Nicole Maehrer – the sequel to The Assistant to the Villain. If you’re into goofy fantasy romances, then I highly recommend it!

Hope you enjoy all your August reads.

There are a couple of title there that had me intrigued – the darker sounding the better. I just finished a Holly Black binge, and picked up a bunch of blogger books that are going to keep me busy through August. Happy Reading!
