I loved Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone so I’m eager to start The Blackhouse later today. It’s a gothic thriller/suspense and sounds just as good as Mirrorland.

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Fairies is such an unusual book and I liked that about it. It reads like a very formal Victorian novel yet deals with the fantastical. It reminded me a little of Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik.

I haven’t seen The Hunter around the blogosphere or Instagram, so I’m really curious what kind of read it’s going to turn out to be. It sounds good, at any rate.

I’m currently about 25% into Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and am finding it difficult to put down!
