The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.
In 2022, how many books did you read?
(Submitted by Billy @ Coffee Addicted Writer))
I’m thinking I should have held off on yesterday’s post until today, but I guess that’s what I get for waiting til the last minute to look at this week’s question. If you want to see my reading stats for 2022, you can see my post here.
If you saw my post yesterday, you know I have read 156 books and I’m reading one now that I will finish before the end of the year. I might even get two books in. Unfortunately, I set my goal for 160 just because I wanted a bit of a challenge, and I fell just shy.

Here’s a visual of all the books I read:

Ahh yes I loved the StoryGraph from your previous post! I read 21 books – which I’m pretty pleased about since my goal was 12 😆 This was the year I got back into reading a lot 😁
That sounds wonderful. I hope they were good ones!
I would love to read that many books. I probably only read under ten books, something I would like to do differently next year. I am nearly finished sleep, although the reveal at the end of the stalker was a bit of a surprise. I will post a review when I finish the book.
I’ll have to look for it. It sounds very interesting.
Brilliant! I’ve read 147 and should have another one before the end of the year!
We are pretty much reading at the same pace. 😊

Close enough, Tessa💜 Congrats on reading over 150 books, which is amazing. I just finished #166. I might get one more in but I doubt it.
Excellent!
Well done, Tessa! I still need to figure out how many I read this year and do all my stats too.
I bet it was a lot!
You’ve done really well. I had my goal as 92 books but I completely smashed it with 176 books read and I really don’t know how I did it. Haven’t read that much in years!
Whoa! 176! That’s amazing 🤩
That’s an impressive total, well done. I should finish a book today, which will mean just reaching my goal of 140 books. From 2016 – 2019 I read over 300 books a year but this has fallen considerably over the last few years. I am enjoying the book I read a lot more so consider it a win!
300? I can’t even imagine. 😳
I barely remember any of them – and therein lies the problem!
You did very well in 2022!
Thank you!
156 is really amazing. I always set my goal less than I can read so I find it easy to complete it.
I usually do but I decided to try and stretch this year.
That’s impressive! My reading has definitely slowed down a bit this year – didn’t hit my reading goal but I’m okay with that!
I think the number doesn’t matter, personally. It’s all about an enjoyable way to spend some time.
Agreed! As long as you enjoy what you’re reading 😊
